Reviews and Ratings
Beware of this hotel if you're looking for a straightforward and pleasant stay. The decor and rooftop area are pretty nice, and the location is great for exploring the area. However, the experience quickly soured due to aggressive sales tactics that overshadowed the enjoyment of the stay. The added pressure to sit through a lengthy timeshare presentation is definitely not what I signed up for, making it hard to relax. Overall, while the property has some redeeming qualities, the negative aspects significantly impact the stay.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. On a positive note, the staff was exceptionally accommodating and helpful during a booking mix-up, making us feel welcome after a long drive. However, the noise was unbearable at times, with constant disruptions from the street and construction that really made it hard to relax. The location is convenient for exploring, but it's important to note the surrounding neighborhood isn't ideal. Overall, I appreciated the staff's efforts, but the noise and the cramped kitchenette left much to be desired.
While the hotel boasts a lovely rooftop patio and is conveniently located within walking distance of downtown attractions, my stay was not without its downsides. The amenities were minimal, the staff seemed very young and inexperienced, and charges for essentials like Wi-Fi and valet parking added up quickly. However, the room was nicely furnished and comfortable, contributing positively to our overall experience.
While the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, this resort falls short in several areas. The location is convenient for exploring San Diego, but the noise and character of the neighborhood leave something to be desired. The rooms, though neat and functional, lacked the space and comfort that one might hope for. Overall, it was a decent stay, but I would recommend looking elsewhere if you value a quieter experience.
The hotel had a lovely boutique ambiance and was ideally located for exploring downtown and Balboa Park, but watch out for the additional costs for Wi-Fi and parking that aren't standard at many hotels. The rooftop patio was a highlight and perfect for relaxing. While the staff was generally friendly, some interactions left a bit to be desired, given their inexperience and lack of communication.
